Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 includes Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear (NES/Famicom), Metal Gear (Famicom), Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and Snake’s Revenge. It also includes the two graphic novels and other bonus content. You can see more about the Master Collection on Steam.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 Will Include Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake

Konami has given gamers more news on its upcoming Metal Gear Solid compilation release. This is Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1. It will include the following games. They are Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The first volume of the Master Collection will also include Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.

In other news, it was confirmed by Konami that Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 would be releasing this fall for newer platforms. While fans already know it is coming to PlayStation 5, it seems highly likely it will come to Xbox Series X|S and PC as well. As for the Nintendo Switch, that is unknown at this time.

Assuming Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 ever gets made, it is likely to include Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Metal Gear Rising: REVENGEANCE, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, and possibly Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriot. (Who knows about Metal Gear Survive?) Only time will tell.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection May Be Coming to the PlayStation 5

Is Metal Gear Solid HD Collection coming to the PlayStation 5?

The Metal Gear Solid franchise has historically been more popular on PlayStation, especially with Sony getting many of the titles as launch exclusives through the late 90s and early 2000s. Even more interestingly, there is a report over on Comicbook.com that a Metal Gear Solid collection might be coming to the PlayStation 5. The compilation is expected to include the original Metal Gear Solid (PSone), the GameCube remake of MGS1 called Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty on the PS2, (later released on Xbox) and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater on the same platform. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is allegedly releasing in a separate package. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker was said to not be included in the compilation. This is all based on an anonymous user’s claims over on 4Chan so all of this this could ultimately end up not being true.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and the PSP game, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker were all remastered in HD for Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. This was available on the PS3 and Xbox 360. A version was later released for the PlayStation VITA but did not include Peace Walker; however though, it can be downloaded on the PS VITA via the PlayStation Store as a PSP classic digital game.
