Super Smash Bros. Ultimate releases on December 7 for Nintendo Switch. The game is the successor to Super Smash Bros. For Wii U & Nintendo 3DS. That released in 2014.
Today, there is barely over a week until launch of the next Smash. Let’s look back to earlier 2018 in the spring. There was a Nintendo Direct. It was just a regular Direct. However, Nintendo surprised everyone with a new game, back then it was called Super Smash Bros.
At first, it looked like another Splatoon 2 expansion pack. As the Inklings battle it out, you’ll notice the ball of fire as the camera zooms into the Inkling’s eye. It’s the Smash Ball. Then you see Mario, Link, and other characters. Everyone freaked out over a brand new Smash coming to Switch this year. You can re-watch the reveal above.
