The Pokémon Company held a presentation earlier this morning. It was around 20 minutes long and contained information on new updates coming to Pokémon mobile and Nintendo Switch games. They also showed new content for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Watch the reaction video above for more information.

The Pokémon Company confirmed they are holding another video presentation called Pokémon Presents. The presentation will take place on August 3 at 9am ET / 6am PT. It will cover updates to Pokémon apps and games. This includes Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet as well.

Nintendo held a digital video presentation for upcoming games launching for Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Direct Mini was roughly around 26 minutes long. It showcased games launching later this year and next year on Nintendo Switch, including upcoming content for already released games like DLC and free updates like Monster Hunter: Rise Sunbreak. Several third-party titles like Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Sonic Frontiers, Portal Companion Collection, Persona 2, 3, 4, and 5, along with a whole bunch more games shown!

Ubisoft is Bringing Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection to the Nintendo Switch on February 17

Ubisoft Entertainment announced earlier today that Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection would be arriving next month for Nintendo Switch. The compilation includes the mainline series games of Ezio’s trilogy. This compilation will include Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. The package will be available February 17 and will contain all single player DLC, as well as two films.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection arrives February 17 for Switch. The title will cost $39.99 USD / CA$49.99. Thanks Cory for the news!

Paper Mario (N64) is Coming to Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo announced that Paper Mario was one of the games coming to the Nintendo 64 app for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. On Thursday of this week, Nintendo confirmed that the game would be making its way to the Nintendo Switch on December 10 December 12.

This release of Paper Mario is exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion subscribers. Users also must download the Nintendo 64 app, which is available on the Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo is Investing Around $880 Million to $900M USD / CA$1.12B in Game Development

Nintendo is Investing Nearly $900 Million USD in Game Development

First reported by Nintendo Enthusiast, Nintendo is planning to invest more money into game development. They will be investing as much as $900 million USD / $1.12 billion CAD. That is just under $1 billion USD / 1.24B CAD!

Price conversions are estimated prices from XE and are rounded.

Nintendo said it is investing ¥100 billion JPY (or about $880 million USD / $1.1B CAD) into software development, while $440M US / CA$5.48M is going into non-gaming avenues. Additionally, The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack just came out at the end of October. A majority of Nintendo Switch users are upset about the service and price being set at $49.99 US / CA$63.99 for 12 months after adding Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis / MegaDrive games. Nintendo will try to remedy this by putting in ¥300 JPY (roughly $2.6 billion US / $CA32.37B) to in improve the Nintendo Switch Online experience, as well as Nintendo Accounts and My Nintendo.

It is November 4 and Nintendo Co., Ltd. concluded its investor relations (or IR) meeting for FY 2021 Q2, which ended on September 30. This article will cover sales for Nintendo Switch and its first-party and second-party software. For complete details, head to Nintendo’s publication for software HERE and HERE for hardware.

Nintendo Switch and Software Sales

Nintendo Switch has reached 92.87 million SKUs as of September 30. It was reported previously that it had reached at 89.04 million since June 30 of this year. As for first-party and second-party titles, the best selling title was Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which sits at 38.74 million SKUs. The other titles on the list were Animal Crossing: New Horizons (34.85 Million SKUs), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (25.71M), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (24.13M), Pokémon Sword & Shield (22.64M), Super Mario Odyssey (21.95M), Super Mario Party (16.48M), Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee (13.83M), Splatoon 2 (12.68M) and lastly, Ring Fit Adventure (12.21M).

What is Your Favourite 2020 Nintendo Switch Game?

I am aware it has been over a week since I have last posted on the Nintendo Switch Amino. I haven’t been interested in covering a lot lately. Therefore, I decided to have a different post for a change.

Favorite Game This Year On Nintendo Switch
The year is almost over. And it has been another successful year for the Nintendo Switch, even if it didn’t start out that way. What 2020 Nintendo Switch game have you been looking forward to the most?

Numerous games launched this year on Nintendo Switch. There was Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Ori & the Blind Forest, Just Dance 2021, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, Streets of Rage 4, Control: Ultimate Edition – Cloud Version, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and Super Mario 3D All-Stars just to name a handful.

Monster Hunter Direct Reactions

A day after Sony held their big event, Nintendo held a live presentation. This was the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partners Showcase. It showcased upcoming indie titles and other third-party games launching for Nintendo Switch.

Monster Hunter: Rise

Two of the largest titles are from Capcom. Monster Hunter: Rise was first shown off, followed by a Monster Hunter Direct after the current presentation ended. The game Monster Hunter: Rise will release on March 26, 2021 for Nintendo Switch. There will be two editions. One is the Standard Edition which mainly comes with the game. The other one was the Deluxe Edition. This will include bonus content for the game. In addition, three new amiibos will be releasing the same day and can help the player in the game. For the Deluxe Edition, this will be exclusive at GameStop in the US and EB Games in Canada. Pre-orders start today.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wing of Ruin

The next title was Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wing of Ruin. This has a release window of summer next year. More updates for both games will be discussed during the digital TOKYO GAME SHOW this year

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Ori and the Will of the Wisps was another title showcased from Xbox Games Studios and Moon Studios. A collection will also be available. The digital version is available today.

Other Games Shown

Fitness Boxing 2 Rhythm & Exercise, Disgaea 6: Defiance of Decay, Empire of Sin, Sniper Elite 4 Italia, and PGA Tour 2K21 were also announced to release for the Switch. This was followed by Hades which is available now. The other two games will be launching next year. In spring, Balan Wonderworld comes out and Rune Factory 5 releases next year, too but with no exact release date, only a window.
