The Game Awards take place later tonight. (The same day as my surgery.) It will be hosted by Geoff Keighley. It is a show where video games, game companies, and actors are nominated for an award. This year is no exception.

On The Game Awards’ YouTube channel, they recently uploaded a video. Many games are shown in the video. However, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate footage comes up at multiple times. It is my belief that we may get another DLC character confirmed for 2019 and possibly a new trailer.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches tomorrow for Nintendo Switch. Be sure to consider getting that Season Pass for extra characters. I will see you tomorrow for the final episode of A Smashing Countdown.

A Smashing Countdown – Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Day 2 (Final Smash Direct)

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the next entry in the Smash Bros. series. The game will be out on December 7. It’ll be a Nintendo Switch exclusive.

In three days, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches for Nintendo Switch. It will be a great day. Maybe, there will be some kind of new trailer at The Game Awards on Thursday night. (That is the same day of my surgery, unfortunately.) So, this will be a very good week for gaming.

Let’s take a look back at November’s Nintendo Direct. Nintendo streamed the final pre-Smash Direct before launch. New characters are coming, new stages, new bosses, and even Adventure Mode is making a return. Adventure Mode is called World of Light. You can view the trailer above.

There are only a couple more days until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches on Switch. And everyone will will happy. It has been four years since the last Super Smash Bros. game has been released.

Today, I wanted to look back at November’s Smash Direct. New characters were announced, news modes, and returning modes like Adventure Mode. The Adventure Mode is called World of Light in this game.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches Friday for Nintendo Switch. A Season Pass will be released, as well. There will be five characters of DLC. Nintendo will release the characters throughout 2019.

A Smashing Countdown – Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Day 3 (Pokémon: Let’s Go Launches)

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the fifth entry in the Super Smash Bros. franchise. The game will release on December 7 for Nintendo Switch. It is the next game after Super Smash Bros. For Wii U and Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS.

On Friday, November 16, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! were released for Nintendo Switch. The game garnered 3 million downloads during its first weekend. It is now the fastest selling game on the Nintendo Switch.

For Pokémon: Let’s Go owners, they will be happy to know that in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you will be able to have a Pikachu or an Eevee follow you in Spirits Mode in the game. This feature will arrive on December 14, the following week. In order to get them, (there are actually two way) just be sure to have the Pokémon save data and Smash data stored on the same console, then wait until December 14 and you will automatically unlock them. Another way to unlock them is through challenges in Smash. You do not need to have any version of Let’s Go.

What do they do? Pikachu will add more damage and is faster. As for Eevee, its’ advantage is a higher attack and higher defense.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches this Friday. So, I hope you are enjoying A Smashing Countdown. Because Day 2 comes out tomorrow. Thank you.

A Smashing Countdown – Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Day 6 (Nintendo Direct)

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate releases on Friday, December 7 for Nintendo Switch. It is the fifth installment in the series. There also has not been an entry in the Smash series since 2014 on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

With just six days until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launching, there is plenty more to discuss. Back in August, Nintendo held a Direct. During the Direct, a new trailer for the game was shown. But what stood out the most for me was not only are characters from Fire Emblem or Castlevania coming, Isabelle from Animal Crossing is coming.

After the Isabelle reveal, Nintendo teased a new Animal Crossing game. I know this has little to do with Smash, but Tom Nook was even talking about Isabelle coming to Smash. Nonetheless, a new Animal Crossing is coming to Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019.

We do not have very long until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate releases this Friday. I hope you are enjoying A Smash Countdown for the new game. Thank you for reading. Be sure to come back tomorrow.
