UPDATE Now, there is a vlog: Nintendo’s Switch Sales Have Surpassed 10 Million Consoles

It only took Nintendo nine months to sell 10 Million Switch consoles. For comparison, it took about the same time for the Wii to sell the same number and well over two years for Wii U to hit that number. That puts the Switch on a good track.

By March 2018, it is expected for Switch to sell 14 Million or more units. It is quite possible, that the Switch may outsell the Wii U (sold 13.56 Million) by the end of this year.

In addition to this feat, Nintendo will ship at least 25 Million Switch’s for next year. Now, PlayStation 4 just reached 70 million units, which outsold the 3DS. That will take longer to outsell, if it even stands a chance. On the other hand, the Xbox One is around 30 Million units. Can the Switch outsell it? No one knows. But take that for thought when someone asks how Switch compares to its competition in terms of sales.

Why I Think LA Noire: The VR Case Files on Steam and HTC VIVE Is Exciting, Yet Pathetic

Screenshot Taken on Nintendo Switch

LA Noire: The VR Case Files is coming to HTC VIVE and now, Steam on December 7. The remastered version of LA Noire is out now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for $39.99 USD. The Nintendo Switch version costs an extra $10 due to the $20 fee of cartridges. So, RockStar is taking a $10 loss, at least. I won’t get into the size of the game today.

The good news is you will be able to play LA Noire in VR. This is only on Steam and HTC VIVE. It also costs $29.99 USD. This may sound all great and all but I find it pathetic that it is less than a fraction of the game in VR. Hell, the Complete Edition of the original game is the exact same price. (Regular price, not discounted)

The VR version of the game only has seven cases. But hey! It’s cheaper. Well, let me explain more. The VR version is $29.99 USD. That roughly translates to $4.28 for each case. No, they are not selling it this way. But considering the console versions have the complete game, plus DLC I think that deal is better. Those have twenty-six cases. So, for PS4 and Xbox One, each case would be $1.58. Even on the Switch, (granted $10 Switch tax) it costs $1.92. Plus, you can take this version on the go so even though it is disappointing it costs more, it is still a better deal than The VR Case Files.

I understand it is likely Rock Star testing the waters with VR. But they also tested the waters with Switch yet it is fully completed with all DLC which also seems to have sold very well, surprisingly. (All console versions also contain free roam and extra crime missions. I don’t know if VR will so take this with a grain of salt.)

I still think, regardless, The VR Case Files will be a good game and sell fine. But I would rather play the full game on Steam completed without VR.

Nintendo Confirms Kellogg’s Will Be Distributing Super Mario Cereal

Nintendo and Kellogg’s have partnered up to bring something that no one likely expected. It’s cereal. Basically, Lucky Charms but replaced with Super Mario themed marshmallows.

Their American Twitter feed said: “We can cerealously confirm that Kellogg’s Super Mario Cereal will be hitting store shelves on Dec. 11th!”

That’s not all, either. The cereal box is also an amiibo. The box has an NFC chip in it. So, expect it to be more expensive and non-gamers going shopping to freak out over this.

This will go on sale on December 11. I am estimating a price for $19.99 or $24.99 USD. But Nintendo die hards will for sure buy it. Get it before it sells out.
